Alpine aster 'Pinkie' is nice at the edge of a path or in the rock garden. It goes well with other early-blooming perennials like columbine, basket of gold and dragonhead. It prefers poor, well-drained soil.
Aster alpinus 'Pinkie' was introduced by Jelitto Perennial Seeds in 1999. It is drought tolerant and deer resistant. Hardy in zones 3-8.
