HomeTomato 'Eva Purple Ball' is one of the prettiest heirloom tomatoes. The dark pink, tennis ball-size fruits are produced in abundance. They are virtually immune to cracking - great for the farmers market. The fruits weigh 4-5 ounces and have excellent flavor.
This treasure was brought to New Jersey in the late 1800's by immigrants from the Black Forest region of Germany.
Sowing Eva Purple Ball Tomato Seeds
Start tomato seeds indoors 8 weeks before the last frost date. Sow 1/8" deep. Transplant outside 1-2 weeks after the last frost date. Full sun. Spacing 30-36".
