HomeAzoychka is a medium-size, bright yellow beefsteak with a tangy flavor. It's the earliest yellow tomato we sell. The oblate fruits weigh 5-8 ounces. They have a sweet-tart, citrusy flavor that is most concentrated in the seed gel.
This Russian heirloom was collected by Kent Whealy at the Bird Market in Moscow and introduced to the U.S. via the Seed Savers Exchange.
Sowing Azoychka Tomato Seeds
Start tomato seeds indoors 8 weeks before the last frost date. Sow 1/8" deep. Transplant outside 1-2 weeks after the last frost date. Full sun. Spacing 30-36".
