HomeMountain Pima is a very rare tomatillo from Western Chihuahua, Mexico. The small fruits average 3/4 inches in diameter. They are a lovely green color with a touch of purple. They make a nice roasted salsa with a mild flavor that is less sweet than Grande Rio Verde tomatillo.
The ripe fruits fall from the sprawling plants like ground cherries. Latin name: Physalis philadelphica.
