HomePoppy 'Elka White' has pale lavender to white blooms with dark purple blotches. It looked gorgeous in my garden with Digitalis 'Berggold'. The tall plants are vigorous. The creamy white seeds have a nutty flavor without bitterness.
Elka White is a very old breadseed poppy from Chrenovec-Brusno, Slovakia. The large, unvented pods don't spill the seeds.
