Yellow Trumpet Morning Glory
(Ipomoea hederifolia var. lutea)
15 seeds $3.25
Ipomoea hederifolia var. lutea is a rare species. The fast-growing vines are covered with small, butter-yellow flowers from August to October. The trumpet-shaped flowers attract bees, butterflies and hummingbirds.
Yellow Trumpet Morning Glory is vigorous, and it needs a trellis. I tried to grow it as a groundcover, but it kept climbing all over the nearby trees and shrubs. I think it would be very nice on an arbor or a chain link fence.
Ipomoea hederifolia var. lutea is the yellow form of Ipomoea hederifolia, also known as Ipomoea luteola, which has scarlet-red flowers.
