Centaurea 'Blue Diadem' is the most impressive blue cornflower you can grow. The tall plants produce loads of true blue, double flowers. It's very attractive to bees and beneficial insects. It's a host plant for Painted Lady butterflies.
Blue Diadem cornflower looks good in the middle of the border with shorter plants in front and taller plants behind. It's especially nice with anything that blooms in yellow or gold.
