Balsam 'Camellia Flowered Mix' is an heirloom flower with camellia-shaped blossoms of pink, red, salmon, purple and white. The flowers appear along the stems, which are clothed in pointed, bright green leaves.
Camellia Flowered balsam is colorful and easy to grow. The bright flowers attract hummingbirds, and it self sows in most climates. Shade-tolerant. It is shown here with Cosmos sulphureus.
Impatiens balsamina is also known as Touch-Me-Not, which refers to the way the seed pods explode when ripe, flinging the seeds into the air. Also known as Balsamine, Lady Slipper, Jumping Betty, and Balsamina hortensis.
