Allium angulosum
(Mouse Garlic)
60 seeds $3.00
Mouse garlic is a clump-forming perennial with flat leaves and clusters of light purplish-pink flowers in summer. All parts of the plant are edible, but the bulb is the part that is usually eaten. The leaves and flowers can be added to salads.
Allium angulosum is native to Central Europe, where it is endangered due to loss of habit. It likes plenty of moisture, which makes it ideal for damp areas with loam or clay soil. Hardy in zones 3-9.
