Datura inoxia
(Devil's Trumpet)

25 seeds   $3.50

Datura inoxia has huge, pearly-white, trumpet-shaped flowers with a sweet fragrance. The annual plants grow rapidly with a bush-like habit, spreading up to 6 feet across. The velvety leaves are a soft, gray-green color.

The flowers open in the evening and fade the next day by afternoon. They attract butterflies, hummingbirds and sphinx moths.

Datura inoxia grows best in sandy, well-drained soil in areas with hot summers. It is native to the southern states, Central and South America.

Also known as Devil's Trumpet, Toloache, Moonflower, or (mistakenly called) Angel's Trumpet. Hardy in zones 6-10. Self sows. All parts are poisonous.
